Historical Markers

Many states, cities and counties have erected historical markers pinpointing the location of actions Medal of Honor Recipients were involved in or honoring Recipients with local ties.

These pages include photos of some of these markers. If you have a photo of such a marker, please share it with us. You will be given credit for the photo. Please do not send photos from other webpage’s as they are often copyrighted. Additionally, we are looking for historical markers, not street signs. Although a notable credit to a Recipient, they don’t provide a lot of additional information.
